The Good, The "Bad", and the ZZZZZ

THE GOOD
As you know, I’m (currently) pregnant.
Cait is back on Rocephin (The Wonder Drug)
It’s the weekend.

THE “BAD”
Pregnancy seems to reduce me to a wet dishrag.*
New drugs + a summer cold make Cait rather puddle-like.**
There’s nothing bad about weekends, except that they always, annoyingly end.

THE ZZZZZ
As a result, we sleep. A lot. Which is great for us, but not so good for the blog. So “tawk amongst yourselves” and we’ll have more to say on Monday after Ultrasound #2.

* and ** We are not ungrateful. We are SO, SO unbelievably happy both to be pregnant and back on the kick-ass drug. But the reality is, both conditions happen to have some less-blissful side effects, but they in no way render us unhappy about the big picture. We hope we’re not offending anyone.

  1. Yes, I know it is great to be pregnant. But it is also VERY scary and VERY tiring. Scott can’t believe I want another one because I swore up and down that all the worry from being pregnant wasn’t worth it…but somehow it is when you see that little face.

Praying for you guys, and thanks for being so loving in your response. You didn’t have to be.

There is a little thing on the sidebar of my blog with a link to Lucy’s NICU story…in case you wanted to read.

    REST today!

I suppose I have come “out of the closet” in my own right, finally commenting to your blog! 😉

  2. OK – here’s some activities for you dears that have NOTHING to do with either of your worries!

-Narda wants to do touristy stuff = AKA go visit the white house – PLEASE TELL ME IT”S CLOSED LABOR DAY WEEKEND….. 🙂

However, we shoudl sneak in a Lincoln memorial or Smithsonian trip – me, I’m up for cool coffee hosues and stuff you do whilst “living” in DC…

So any ideas for our pending visit would be great!

    🙂

And shall we bring cool socks?

  3. Can’t wait to hear about the ultrasound. I’m going to be nosy and ask why Cait is on an antibiotic?

  4. Cait has Lyme disease, and has had it for almost 2 years now. She was on an AWESOME Antibiotic, but the beurocratic insurance agency decided to deny it, and put her on a bad one. They have now (some 6-8 months later) put her back on teh good one!

    YEA!

  5. Cait, I hope you feel better soon. Jen hang it there gurl. I have a good feeling about this one!
