Public Service Announcement

Jen would like the general public to know that, two days prior to full term*, she still has an innie.

Thank you.

*our midwives consider 37 weeks full term.

  1. Wooohooooo!!!!

But, then, we all know this has been a charmed pregnancy since day one, so I really shouldn’t be surprised. =)

  2. ROFLMAO!!! 🙂

  3. I don’t know… that looks like it’s teetering on the brink to me 😉

  4. hmmm… we’ll just wait to see what happens in the next few weeks won’t we 🙂

sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for harpo’s arrival….

  5. I never got an outie so maybe Jen won’t either!
Can’t wait to hear about harpo’s arrival.

  6. Congratulations! I know you were every bit as wigged out about getting an outie as I was. And I didn’t either!

One thing I discovered post-partum is that I actually did get a linea negra, which I thought I didn’t get. It was just light and stretched enough to be invisible while I was hugely pregnant.

  7. So I do have hope!

  8. An innie! I had an innie until I was seven. What’s that about? It’s getting so close! It’s so exciting!

  9. I didn’t ever get an outie (I thought the whole idea was horrid)… so maybe you will be lucky.

Mind you I didn’t get any strech marks until he was 10 days overdue either!!!

  10. That is so funny, she is lucky.
Cant wait for harpo to arrive.
    🙂

  11. Nobody said anything about stretch marks, sadly. Observant viewers may have noticed that the photo was cropped extremely tight – that was no accident! I most definitely have stretch marks. My stomach is corrugated. No joke. And you WILL NOT be seeing photographic evidence.

  12. Even if yours does pop out, it’ll probably go back. My navel kind of popped, but mostly it just looked gross. The linea negra pigment got in there and reeked havoc. Anyway, it is back to its good ole self now- an innie.
Hoping you’re feeling well (or at muddling through) in this last stretch. So excited for you both!

  13. Mine was an outie (what’s with the fear of outies?) at the end of pregnancy, and now it’s a cavernous innie. Super super cavernous. I-can’t-see-the-back-of-my-own-navel cavernous.

  14. I’m with art-sweet (hi art-sweet!) The concavity seems to be approaching convexity.

But! I add hastily, it is still a GREAT looking belly button.

  15. I have been looking for the right word for my stretch marks since around month 6. My stomach and the fronts of my thighs are also corrugated.

  16. Yay for term!

Once an innie, always an innie.

Love the nursery (catching up here). Happy almost baby!

  17. this too shall pass!

  18. HA HA HA. Good for her. Is it really an innie or more of a flattie? Mine was kinda flat without sticking in or out.

    How are you guys feeling?????
