My dad just called, seemingly out of the blue, and updated me on his aching knees (not one but TWO torn meniscii!!!). However, that wasn’t the reason for his call. He was calling to wish us a happy anniversary. Guess who hadn’t remembered? Yeah, either of the celebrants! And it’s our FIFTH! D’oh!

Happy belated anniversary! That’s funny because my parents called us this summer to wish us a happy 5th (since commitment ceremony) and of course we had done nothing for each other. It’s nice to have family that remembers.
